Exercise 2: Use Lync to call a contact and start a conference call
Now it’s your turn to try things out. Follow these steps to practice calling a contact, adding another person to a call, and then making a conference call.
To call a contact and add another person to the call, do the following:
- Open Lync, and find the contact you want to call in your Contacts list, or by typing his or her name or phone number in the search box.
- Point to the contact, and then click the Call button .
- Once in the call, click the People Options menu , and then click Invite by Name or Phone Number.
- To end the call, click the End call button .
To start a conference call, do the following:
- In the Lync main window, in your Contacts list, select multiple people by holding down the Ctrl key while you click each contact.
- Right-click a selected contact, and then click Start a Conference Call.
- Click the number you want to use for the call.
- To end the call, click the End call button .
